SGL maintains a fully modern facility with instrumentation capabilities which allow us to perform R&D synthesis as well as large scale manufacturing.

Our Ph.D. synthetic chemists perform custom synthesis from mg to kg scale – up to 22 L/5 kg per loading for a variety of compounds. Capabilities include low temperature synthesis at -78 ºC, purification by Column Chromatography or High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and mechanism investigation for target reactions.

To ensure the purity of our products, we analyze them using sophisticated instrumentation such as GC/MS, NMR, HPLC, IR, UV-Vis and elemental analysis and can also provide these services to our customers. As a specialized contract research & development company, we are uniquely positioned to provide organic compounds and precursors to pharmaceuticals and universities as well as large research organizations.

Spectra Group can perform a Reaction Methodology/Optimization of your existing reaction to improve yield, reduce cost or increase safety, or we can make recommendations for scaling up your reaction before you transfer it to a toll manufacturer. Toll production is another service that SGL provides – using either the customer or our own optimized conditions.
